2011

A pretty decent year I’d say. Thanks to everyone that came out to any of my gigs/art things through the year, it is fully appreciated. A few days into January, I think its time to start working again and updating this blog on the reg. A few projects are already in the works so watch this space for more updates.

I guess to cap off 2011 i’ll blog a few “bonus” things that happend this year. Think of it as a b-sides of jobs I ceebs’d blogging.

Before the “battle” with the Momorobo crew we had to send over a proof of concept so they had a feel of our style/what to expect. With roughly 20 minutes this is what I came up with.

That same night after seeing me draw live this dude asked If I could sketch something for his daughter Perri. It was pretty flattering and I was down so cheers to you, mysterious drunk man.

A few weeks ago I handpainted these signs to fit an A-frame for The Passage in the cross. I tried my best to get the sets near exactly the same. So if your ever in the cross drop by, peep the signs and grab a cheap feed. I believe babekuhl did the interior murals inside the bar aswell.

Long time no see…
Merry X-mas/Happy Holidays to all! Been busy with things not related to arty things, but will be back in full swing Jan 2012. Until then i’ll serve you up some sweet filler…

Well to wrap where I last left off, Babekuhl’s Techno-Colour Party went down.
Great turnout, free booze/food, amazing works. What more could you ask for on a Wednesday Night. Thanks to everyone that came out and showed some love, also props to that mexican Andrew for luckily winning the custom kicks (this was not rigged, I swear!).

Here are some photos from the night thanks to Everguide

Overall a really great year at Babekuhl with bigger things already planned for 2012.
Lastly a big thanks to the boys for having me and teaching me the ropes throughout the year. As a gift I painted my version of their “Babu-Cloud” character.

Techno Colour

So Babekuhl’s having a Christmas party tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Atrium.
Part rave/part gallery, the party will feature a series of portraits we’ve been working on for 2011 aswell as an accompanying zine. We’ll also showcase the new line of clothes and proddy so bring some cash. Click attending to be on the guestlist if you already haven’t!

As a bonus these sweet air forces (hand painted by Billy) are up for grabs. See you there!

Tiger Translate

Roughly Two weeks ago the Babekuhl Boys and I were chosen to “battle” The Singapore creative collective Momorobo for Tiger Beer’s “Tiger Translate” event. As part of the entertainment they also had Beastman doing his thing at the front as well as a female Korean Graff artist Junkhouse to put some work in. Overall a good event with free booze, the crowd was mostly associated press and invite-only’s.

Photos taken by Tiger:

With our “battle”, instead of painting a traditional live piece we participated in “projector ping pong”. More or less it ended up with us doodling on transparencies, taking turns as teams which was then eventually projected against a wall for onlookers to see. Downing beers drawing whatever came to mind. No pressure just good times, mega chilled.

Our cheesy team photo yo

It was a pleasure to meet and chill with Momorobo. Nice guys with extremely slick work, be sure to hit up their website.
Pat later scanned the pieces and pieced them together as a digital collage
